Baked garlic butter potatoes are a delightful dish that’s both simple to make and incredibly tasty. Here’s a straightforward recipe to try:
Ingredients:
1.5 lbs (about 700g) baby potatoes, halved
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional, for added flavor)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the potatoes: Wash and halve the baby potatoes. You can leave the skins on for extra texture and flavor.
Make the garlic butter mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using). Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
Coat the potatoes: Place the halved potatoes in a large mixing bowl. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the potatoes and toss until all the potatoes are well coated.
Bake the potatoes: Transfer the coated potatoes to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil, spreading them out in a single layer.
Bake in the oven: Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. Stir or flip the potatoes halfway through baking to ensure even cooking.
Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot.
