Butternut Squash Apple Bake

A delicious and comforting dish that combines the sweetness of butternut squash and apples, perfect for chilly days.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium butternut squash
  • 3 medium apples
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and cube the butternut squash and slice the apples.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the butternut squash, apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a baking dish and top with chopped nuts if using.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until the squash is tender.
