  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1โ€“1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese blend)
  • Optional toppings: pickles, sliced tomatoes, lettuce, ketchup, mustard

Instructions

1. Cook the Beef

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and sautรฉ 3โ€“4 minutes until soft.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  5. Cook until beef is browned and cooked through, about 6โ€“8 minutes.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce if using.
  7. Drain excess fat and set aside.

2. Assemble the Quesadillas

  1. Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface.
  2. Sprinkle half of the cheese evenly over one side.
  3. Add a layer of cooked ground beef.
  4. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top, then cover with a second tortilla.

3. Cook the Quesadillas

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Place the quesadilla in the skillet and cook 2โ€“3 minutes per side, pressing lightly with a spatula, until the tortillas are golden brown and cheese is melted.
  3. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.

4. Serve

  • Slice each quesadilla into wedges.
  • Serve with optional toppings or dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or a simple burger sauce.
