- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1โ1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese blend)
- Optional toppings: pickles, sliced tomatoes, lettuce, ketchup, mustard
Instructions
1. Cook the Beef
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and sautรฉ 3โ4 minutes until soft.
- Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Cook until beef is browned and cooked through, about 6โ8 minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce if using.
- Drain excess fat and set aside.
2. Assemble the Quesadillas
- Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese evenly over one side.
- Add a layer of cooked ground beef.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top, then cover with a second tortilla.
3. Cook the Quesadillas
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Place the quesadilla in the skillet and cook 2โ3 minutes per side, pressing lightly with a spatula, until the tortillas are golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
4. Serve
- Slice each quesadilla into wedges.
- Serve with optional toppings or dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or a simple burger sauce.
