Ingredients
Meat Layer
- 500 g (1 lb) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
(or 1 tsp paprika + 1 tsp cumin + ยฝ tsp chili powder + salt)
Creamy Layer
- 1 cup sour cream
(or thick yogurt) - 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
Other Layers
- 2 cups crushed tortilla chips or 6 small tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
Toppings
- ยฝ cup sliced black olives
- 1 fresh jalapeรฑo, sliced
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- Fresh cilantro
Instructions

Cook the beef
Sautรฉ onion in a pan, add beef and garlic. Cook until browned. Stir in taco seasoning. -
Make creamy mixture
Mix sour cream and cream cheese until smooth. -
Assemble casserole
- Base layer: tortilla chips or tortillas
- Beef layer
- Creamy layer
- Cheese
Repeat once.

- 180ยฐC (350ยฐF)
- 25โ30 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Finish & serve
Add olives, jalapeรฑos, tomatoes, and cilantro on top. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
