Ingredients:
For the Milkshake:
5 scoops of vanilla ice cream
½ cup of milk
Chocolate frosting
Blue gel food coloring (sky blue)
Reddi Whip whipped topping
Blue sprinkles
6 Chips Ahoy cookies
6 Oreo cookies
Parchment paper
For the Cookie Monster Cookies:
1 package refrigerated Pillsbury sugar cookies (or homemade)
Vanilla/white frosting
Blue gel food coloring (sky blue)
Edible jumbo candy eyeballs
Directions:
Cookie Monster Cookies:
Bake the sugar cookies as directed on the package or your recipe and allow them to cool completely.
Tint your frosting with blue food coloring to get a vibrant sky blue hue.
Using a butter knife, frost the cookies to create a “fluffy-haired” Cookie Monster look.
Place a couple of edible eyeballs on each cookie to bring our favorite monster to life.
Decorating the Milkshake Glasses:
Crush the Chips Ahoy and Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a large Ziploc bag.
Spread the crumbs out on parchment paper.
Apply a generous amount of chocolate frosting around the rim of each milkshake glass.
Roll the frosted rims in the cookie crumbs and blue sprinkles, pressing lightly to ensure they stick.
Freeze the glasses briefly to set the decorations.
Making the Milkshakes:
In a blender, mix the vanilla ice cream with milk until smooth.
Add a few drops of blue gel food coloring to achieve the desired shade of Cookie Monster blue.
Assembling the Shakes:
Pour the blue milkshake into the prepared glasses.
Generously top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of blue sprinkles, and any remaining cookie crumbs.
Garnish each shake with a Cookie Monster cookie on the rim and insert a fun striped straw.
