Ingredients:
4 bone-in pork chops
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 eggs, beaten
Vegetable oil, for frying
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Directions:
Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a shallow dish or bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried basil. Mix well to combine.
In another shallow dish or bowl, beat the eggs until well mixed.
Dip each pork chop into the beaten eggs, then coat evenly with the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Carefully place the breaded pork chops in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry in batches if necessary.
Fry the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Once cooked, transfer the fried pork chops to a wire rack set over a baking sheet or a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Allow the fried pork chops to rest for a few minutes before serving.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the pork chops.
