Ingredients
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 pound baby potatoes, halved or quartered
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Assemble the Foil Packets: Cut four large squares of heavy-duty aluminum foil.
- Layer the Ingredients: Place the potatoes in the center of each foil square. Top with the steak cubes.
- Add the Garlic Butter: Dot the garlic butter over the steak and potatoes, dividing it evenly among the packets.
- Seal the Packets: Fold the foil over the ingredients to create a sealed packet. Make sure to crimp the edges tightly to prevent any steam from escaping.
- Cook the Foil Packets: Place the foil packets on a baking sheet.
- Oven: Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Grill: Grill the foil packets over medium heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Add Cheese (Optional): If desired, open the foil packets and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the steak and potatoes during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Serve: Carefully open the foil packets (be cautious of the steam). Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
