Ingredients
Garlic Bread
- 1 large French bread or Italian loaf
- 4 tbsp butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp salt
Cheesesteak Filling
- 1 lb thinly sliced beef (ribeye, sirloin, or shaved steak)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Cheese
- 8–10 slices provolone cheese
(or shredded mozzarella/cheese sauce if preferred)
Instructions

Preheat oven
- Preheat to 375°F (190°C)
- Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment

Prepare garlic bread
- Slice the loaf lengthwise
- Mix butter, garlic, parsley, garlic powder, and salt
- Spread evenly over both halves
- Bake cut-side up for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden

Cook the veggies
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat
- Sauté onions, peppers, and mushrooms until soft (5–7 minutes)
- Remove from pan and set aside

Cook the steak
- In the same skillet, add the beef
- Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce
- Cook until just browned (2–4 minutes)
- Add veggies back in and mix

Assemble
- Spoon steak mixture evenly over garlic bread
- Top with provolone slices, overlapping slightly

Bake
- Return to oven and bake 10–12 minutes, until cheese is melted
- Broil for 1–2 minutes if you want bubbly, golden cheese

- Slice and serve hot
