Broccoli Cheese Soup for the Crock Pot
Ingredients:
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 (10-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 cups milk
1 lb Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
Instructions:
Sauté Onions:
In a skillet, melt the butter or margarine over medium heat.
Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are tender and translucent.
Combine Ingredients:
In the crock pot, add the sautéed onions.
Pour in the cream of chicken soup and milk.
Add the cubed Velveeta cheese and frozen chopped broccoli.
Cook:
Set the crock pot to low and cook for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally to ensure the cheese melts evenly and the soup is well mixed.
Serve:
Once the soup is hot and the broccoli is tender, give it a final stir and serve warm.
