Delicious Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats Recipe

Ingredients
• 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal (or other cereal)
• 1/4 cup canned pumpkin
• 4 tablespoons butter
• 1 bag of marshmallows
• 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
• Orange gel food coloring (optional)
Instructions
1. Butter a 9×9 inch pan.
2. Spread the pumpkin on a stack of paper towels and let it sit for 5-10 minutes to draw out moisture.
3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, stirring frequently.
4. Add the pumpkin and continue heating, stirring until well mixed.
5. Add the marshmallows and vanilla extract, continuing to heat and stir until the marshmallows are fully melted.
6. Stir in the pumpkin pie spice until evenly mixed.
7. If desired, add a few drops of orange gel food coloring for a deeper color.
8. Remove from heat and fold in the Rice Krispies (use a large bowl if necessary and spray hands with non-stick spray to make mixing easier).
9. Evenly press the mixture into the prepared pan and let it cool.
10. While the mixture is cooling, melt the white chocolate chips in a double boiler or a heat-safe bowl over a small pot of simmering water. Stir frequently until smooth.
11. Place the melted white chocolate in a piping bag and drizzle across the cooled Rice Krispies treats.
12. Allow the treats to cool completely before cutting into 9 squares and serving.
13. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
