Pumpkin Oatmeal Dog Treats 🎃🍪Recipe

Ingredients:
– 1 cup of rolled oats 🌾
– 1 cup of whole wheat flour 🌾 (you can use oat flour or another flour if your dog has wheat allergies)
– 1/2 cup of canned pumpkin puree 🎃 (make sure it’s pure pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling)
– 1/4 cup of natural peanut butter 🥜 (make sure it does not contain xylitol)
– 1 egg 🥚
– 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (optional) 🌿
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, and ground cinnamon (if using).
3. Add the wet ingredients: Add the pumpkin puree, natural peanut butter, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined. The dough should be thick but pliable. If it’s too dry, add a little water, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough reaches the desired consistency.
4. Shape the treats: Scoop out small portions of dough and roll them into balls. Flatten each ball with your hand or a fork to form treat shapes. You can also use cookie cutters to create fun shapes.
5. Bake: Place the treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and firm to the touch.
6. Cool: Remove the treats from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack before serving them to your dog.
Storage:
Store the pumpkin oatmeal treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze them for longer storage.
Enjoy making these delicious and healthy treats for your furry friend! 🐾
