Ingredients:

For the Dough:

3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

For the Filling:

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes, or until foamy.

Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

Roll the dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle on a floured surface. Spread softened butter evenly over the surface.

In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the butter, followed by the chopped walnuts.

Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice into 12 equal pieces and arrange in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

While the rolls bake, prepare the frosting by beating cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Spread the frosting over the warm rolls before serving.
