⭐ How to Shape the Trees (Fast Method)
-
Cut the Pastry:
- Preheat oven to 400°F / 200°C
- Cut the puff pastry into long strips, about 1 inch wide
-
Form the Trees:
- Roll each strip into a loose spiral, starting wide at the bottom and narrowing at the top to resemble a tree.
- Press lightly to hold the spiral shape.
- Spoon or pipe small amounts of spinach filling between layers.
Tip: For perfectly cone-shaped trees, you can wrap the strips around foil molds — optional.
⭐ Bake
- Brush the spirals lightly with beaten egg.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Let cool slightly, then serve warm.
🎄 Optional Decoration Ideas
- Dot the tops with tiny pieces of red bell pepper or cherry tomato as “ornaments”
- Lightly dust with grated Parmesan for a “snowy” effect
- Use a toothpick to pipe little dots of cream cheese as garlands
