  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and add the cherry tomatoes. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes are slightly softened.
  5. Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet, along with the basil pesto. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are evenly coated with the pesto sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to heat through.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve hot, with grated Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
