3–4 fresh lemons (organic if possible, washed well)
1 cup honey (raw honey preferred)
1–2 slices of fresh ginger (optional, for extra health benefits)
Sterilized glass jar with lid
👩🍳 Instructions
Prep Lemons: Wash lemons thoroughly, slice them into thin rounds (remove seeds if desired).
Layer in Jar: Place a few lemon slices at the bottom of the jar, then drizzle honey over them.
Repeat: Keep layering lemon slices and honey until the jar is nearly full. (Add ginger slices between layers if using).
Seal & Rest: Close the jar with a lid and let it sit in the fridge for at least 24 hours. Over time, the lemons will release juice and mix with the honey to form a syrup.
Use: Stir 1–2 spoonfuls into a cup of warm water or tea. You can also eat a spoonful straight when feeling under the weather.
🌟 Notes
Keeps in the fridge for up to 1 month.
Use warm (not boiling) water to preserve the honey’s natural enzymes.
You can also add a pinch of turmeric or cinnamon for extra flavor and health benefits.
