- 6 mozzarella sticks (string cheese)
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp water
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 ½ cups pork rinds (crushed into fine crumbs)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning

1️⃣ Prep the Cheese
Cut each mozzarella stick in half crosswise and set aside.
2️⃣ Make the Egg Wash
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and water until smooth.
3️⃣ Prepare the Coating
Crush the pork rinds into very fine crumbs (use a blender or rolling pin).
Mix the crumbs with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning in another shallow dish.
4️⃣ Coat the Sticks
Dip each mozzarella piece into the egg wash, then roll in the crumb mixture.
For extra crispiness, repeat the process (egg wash + crumbs) for a double coating.
5️⃣ Freeze (Don’t Skip This!)
Place the coated sticks on a tray and freeze for at least 2 hours. This step prevents the cheese from melting too fast while baking.
6️⃣ Bake to Golden Perfection
Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Arrange frozen cheese sticks on the tray and lightly spray with olive oil if desired.
Bake for 6–8 minutes, until golden brown and perfectly melty inside.
