Ingredients:

– 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
– 2 large eggs
– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
– 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
– Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (optional, for serving)

Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs on high speed until foamy.
3. Add the flour, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat until well blended.
4. Blend in the softened butter.
5. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
6. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie shell.
7. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted halfway between the edge and the center comes out clean. The pie may look soft but will set as it cools.
8. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
9. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
