🥢 Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- ½ head green cabbage, shredded
- ½ jalapeño pepper, finely diced
Simple Stir-Fry Sauce (recommended)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional but very authentic)
- 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (for light thickening)
- Black pepper to taste

Cook the Chicken
- Heat butter in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced chicken and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until lightly golden.
- Remove chicken and set aside.

Aromatics
- In the same pan, add onion and sauté for 2 minutes until softened.
- Add garlic and jalapeño; cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

Cabbage
- Add shredded cabbage.
- Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until slightly wilted but still crisp.

Combine
- Return chicken to the pan.
- Pour in the stir-fry sauce.
- Toss everything together and cook 2–3 minutes until glossy and cooked through.

- Taste and adjust seasoning.
- Serve hot over steamed rice, fried rice, or noodles.

- No butter? Use oil for a more traditional Chinese taste.
- Extra protein: Add an egg and scramble before adding cabbage.
