Crispy Garlic Mushroom Bites
Ingredients
- 250g fresh button mushrooms, cleaned and halved
- 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs (or almond flour for low-carb option)
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg (or 1 tbsp flaxseed mixed with 2.5 tbsp water for vegan option)
- Olive oil spray or 1–2 tsp olive oil
For the Dip
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (low-fat or nonfat)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Fresh chives or dill, chopped
🔪 Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) or preheat your air fryer to 190°C (375°F).

Mix coating:Â Combine breadcrumbs (or almond flour), parmesan (if using), garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper.

Prepare mushrooms:Â Pat mushrooms dry. Dip each in beaten egg (or flaxseed mixture), then roll in the breadcrumb mixture until coated.

Bake or air-fry:

Oven: Arrange on a baking tray lined with parchment. Lightly spray with olive oil and bake for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway.

Air fryer: Cook for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crisp.

Make the dip:Â Mix Greek yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, and chives.

Serve hot with the dip. Garnish with extra herbs if desired.
