Fast & Crispy Baked Potato

Ingredients (Serves 1–4)

  • 2–4 medium potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
  • 1–2 tsp olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional toppings: black pepper, garlic powder, butter, sour cream, chives

Instructions

1. Prep the Potatoes:

  • Wash and scrub potatoes thoroughly.
  • Pat dry and pierce each potato several times with a fork.

2. Oil and Season:

  • Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with salt (and optional seasonings).

3. Microwave to Speed Cooking:

  • Place potatoes on a microwave-safe plate.
  • Microwave on high for 5–7 minutes (depending on size), turning halfway through. Potatoes should be slightly softened.

4. Crisp the Skin in Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Place microwaved potatoes on a baking sheet and bake 10–12 minutes until skin is golden and crispy.
