Loaded, Cheesy, Bacon Cheeseburger in Bread
Garbage Bread is basically a full cheeseburger baked inside French bread dough. It’s stuffed with ground beef, bacon, pickles, cheese, ketchup, and mustard, then baked until golden and crispy on the outside and gooey inside.
Perfect for game day, parties, or a fun dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tube refrigerated French bread dough
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 3 tbsp mustard
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 2 dill pickle spears, chopped
- 8 slices American cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- Thousand Island dressing (for dipping)
How to Make Garbage Bread
1. Preheat Oven
Set oven to 350°F (175°C)
Line baking sheet.
2. Cook Beef
Cook ground beef and onion.
Add salt & pepper.
Drain grease.
Let cool slightly.
3. Roll Dough
Roll dough into rectangle
about 12×18 inches.
4. Add Sauce
Spread ketchup.
Spread mustard.
Leave small border.
5. Add Filling
Add:
- Cooked beef
- Bacon
- Pickles
- Cheese slices
Spread evenly.
6. Roll
Roll tightly.
Seal edges.
Place seam down.
7. Brush & Bake
Brush egg on top.
Sprinkle sesame seeds.
Bake 20–25 minutes.
Until golden brown.
8. Serve
Cool 5 minutes.
Slice.
Serve with Thousand Island.
