🫓 Garlic & Butter Flatbread

Soft, pillowy flatbread brushed with garlicky butter — perfect with soups, curries, dips, or as a snack on its own.


Ingredients

For the Flatbread

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

For the Garlic Butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)

🧑‍🍳 Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  1. In a bowl, mix flour + baking powder + salt.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil.
  3. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead 2–3 minutes until smooth and soft.
  5. Cover and let rest 10 minutes (helps make softer flatbread).

2. Prepare Garlic Butter

  • Mix melted butter + minced garlic + parsley (if using).
  • Set aside.

3. Roll the Flatbreads

  1. Divide dough into 6–8 balls.
  2. Roll each into a thin circle or oval (⅛–¼ inch thick).

4. Cook

  1. Heat a skillet or pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook each flatbread 1–2 minutes per side until puffed and golden spots appear.
  3. Immediately brush the hot flatbread with garlic butter.

5. Serve

Best served warm with:

  • Soups
  • Pasta
  • Curry
  • Hummus
