🥘 Ground Beef & Chopped Cabbage Skillet

Ingredients

(As provided)

  • 1 small cabbage, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon bouillon powder (beef or chicken)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, or 1 tbsp tomato paste for deeper flavor

Instructions

1. Brown the Beef

  1. Heat a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Drain excess fat if needed.
  4. Add chopped onions and garlic; cook 2–3 minutes until fragrant.

2. Add the Cabbage

  1. Add the chopped cabbage directly to the skillet.
  2. Sprinkle the bouillon powder over the top.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and any optional spices.
  4. Stir well — the cabbage will shrink as it cooks.

3. Add Tomatoes & Simmer

  1. Pour in the can of diced tomatoes (with juices).
  2. Stir everything together.
  3. Cover and simmer 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning.

Tips

  • Add 1–2 tbsp soy sauce for a deeper savory flavor.
