Ingredients:

- 12 oz penne pasta (uncooked)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:

Cook pasta:
- Cook penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Cook chicken:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Cook chicken until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5โ7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Make the sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sautรฉ for 30โ60 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in flour to make a roux and cook for 1โ2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream until smooth.
- Add red pepper flakes (if using) and Parmesan cheese. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
