Ingredients

  • 1½ lbs ground beef (or beef + chicken mix)
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp ketchup (inside the mix)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning

Optional topping

  • Extra ketchup or BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: 375°F / 190°C
  2. Mix: In a large bowl, gently combine all ingredients (don’t overmix or they’ll be dense).
  3. Fill muffin pan: Grease the pan lightly. Press meat mixture into each cup, filling almost to the top.
  4. Top (optional): Spoon a little ketchup or BBQ sauce on each.
  5. Bake: 20–25 minutes, until cooked through and lightly browned.
  6. Rest: Let them sit 5 minutes before removing.
