Ingredients (makes ~12 cups)
Base
12 wonton wrappers (or small flour tortillas cut into circles)
Cooking spray or a little oil
Filling
½ lb (225 g) ground beef or ground turkey
1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
2–3 tbsp water
Toppings
Shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
Sour cream
Diced tomatoes
Diced cucumber or jalapeño
Red onion (optional)
Chopped green onions or cilantro (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Form the cups
Lightly spray a muffin tin.
Press one wonton wrapper into each cup to form a bowl shape.
Lightly spray the wrappers so they crisp up.
Cook the meat
Brown ground beef in a pan over medium heat.
Drain excess fat.
Add taco seasoning and water; simmer 2–3 minutes.
Assemble
Spoon taco meat into each wonton cup.
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden and cheese is melted.
Top & serve
Let cool slightly.
Add sour cream, diced tomatoes, cucumber, onions, or any toppings you like.
