🧾 Ingredients
- ½ lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
- ½ lb crab meat (lump or imitation)
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small shallot (or ¼ onion), finely chopped
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Old Bay or Cajun seasoning (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives, for garnish
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Sauté the shrimp and aromatics
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add garlic and shallot; cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the chopped shrimp and season with a little salt, pepper, and Old Bay if using.
- Cook until pink, about 2–3 minutes, then remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
2. Wilt the spinach
- In the same skillet, add the chopped spinach.
- Sauté for 1–2 minutes until wilted, then reduce heat to low.
3. Make the creamy crab cheese sauce
- Add cream cheese to the skillet and stir until melted.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly until smooth and creamy.
- Mix in Parmesan and mozzarella cheese until melted and combined.
- Stir in lemon juice for brightness.
4. Add the seafood
- Gently fold in the cooked shrimp and crab meat.
- Stir to combine and cook for another 2–3 minutes on low heat, until everything is heated through and creamy.
5. Serve
- Garnish with fresh parsley or chives.
- Serve hot over rice, pasta, or toasted bread for dipping.
