This is the kind of hot fudge that turns ordinary ice cream into something unforgettable. Thick, silky, and deeply chocolatey — and made with just four simple ingredients.


🛒 Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Optional (but lovely):

  • Tiny pinch of salt
  • Splash of vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 Directions

1️⃣ Prep

Lightly spray the inside of a small slow cooker (2–4 quart) with nonstick spray for easy cleanup.


2️⃣ Combine

Add directly to the slow cooker:

  • Chocolate chips
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Cubed butter
  • Heavy cream

No stirring needed yet.


3️⃣ Cook

Cover and cook on LOW for 1½ to 2 hours.

During the last hour:

  • Stir every 20–30 minutes
  • Scrape edges and bottom to prevent scorching

4️⃣ Check & Adjust

When the mixture is:

  • Completely smooth
  • Thick
  • Glossy

Turn slow cooker to WARM.

Taste and add:

  • Pinch of salt (enhances chocolate flavor)
  • Splash of vanilla (optional)

5️⃣ Jar the Fudge

Carefully ladle into clean, heat-safe mason jars placed on a towel.

  • Leave a little space at the top
  • Wipe rims clean
  • Let cool uncovered until thickened and shiny

6️⃣ Store & Serve

Once cooled:

  • Seal with lids
  • Refrigerate

Fudge thickens more as it chills.

To serve:

  • Microwave 15–20 seconds at a time, stirring between bursts

  • Set jar in warm water until smooth and pourable
