Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) lean ground turkey or chicken
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bag (14–16 oz) coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage and carrots
  • 1–2 tablespoons soy sauce or liquid aminos (low sodium if preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated or ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional toppings: sliced green onions, sesame seeds, sriracha (all zero points in small amounts)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Meat:
    • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey or chicken until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess liquid.
  2. Add Aromatics:
    • Add diced onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add Cabbage:
    • Stir in the coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage and carrots. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5–7 minutes until cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp.
  4. Season:
    • Add soy sauce or liquid aminos and black pepper. Toss well to combine and heat through.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, or a drizzle of sriracha if desired. Serve hot.
