A stack of golden-brown, puffed flatbreads on a white towel, with a cutting board of chopped vegetables and two bowls of sauce in the background.

Soft inside, lightly crispy outside, and puffs beautifully on the pan.

Quick Description

This is the easiest homemade flatbread you’ll ever make. No yeast, no eggs, no butter — just 3 basic ingredients. It puffs up perfectly on the skillet and is ideal for breakfast, wraps, or filling with eggs, cheese, or leftovers.

Servings & Timing

  • Servings: 6 flatbreads
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients (ONLY 3)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
  • 1 tsp salt

(Optional for cooking: a little oil for the pan)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Make the Dough

In a bowl, mix flour and salt.
Add yogurt and mix until a soft dough forms.

2. Knead

Knead for 2–3 minutes until smooth and elastic.
If sticky, sprinkle a little flour.

3. Rest

Cover and let rest 5–10 minutes (this helps puffing).

4. Shape

Divide dough into 6 balls.
Roll each into a circle (about 5–6 inches).

5. Cook

Heat a dry skillet on medium-high.
Place bread on the hot pan.

  • Cook until bubbles form
  • Flip — it will puff up like a balloon
  • Cook until golden spots appear

About 1–2 minutes per side.

6. Serve

Stack in a towel to keep warm and soft.
