  • 1½ cups whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup sugar (white or brown)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

For the Bake

  • 6–8 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1½–2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (to drizzle on top)

Optional Add-Ins

  • Cream cheese cubes
  • Lemon zest
  • Maple syrup
  • Almond slices

Instructions

1. Prepare the croissants

Tear croissants into chunks and place them evenly in a baking dish.

2. Make the custard

In a large bowl whisk together:

  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Heavy cream
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla
  • Cinnamon
  • Salt

Whisk until smooth and creamy.

3. Combine

Pour the custard evenly over the croissant pieces.
Gently press down so the bread absorbs the mixture.

Sprinkle blueberries all over the top.
Drizzle with melted butter.

4. Rest (Optional but recommended)

Let the bake sit for 15–20 minutes so croissants soak up the custard.
This makes the inside extra soft and bakery-style.

  • The top is golden
  • The center is set but still soft
  • Blueberries are juicy and bubbling

  • Maple syrup
  • Extra blueberries
  • Whipped cream
