Ingredients
Base Custard
- 6 large eggs
- 1½ cups whole milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup sugar (white or brown)
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- Pinch of salt
For the Bake
- 6–8 croissants, torn into pieces
- 1½–2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- 2 tbsp melted butter (to drizzle on top)

- Cream cheese cubes
- Lemon zest
- Maple syrup
- Almond slices
Instructions
1. Prepare the croissants
Tear croissants into chunks and place them evenly in a baking dish.
2. Make the custard
In a large bowl whisk together:
- Eggs
- Milk
- Heavy cream
- Sugar
- Vanilla
- Cinnamon
- Salt
Whisk until smooth and creamy.
3. Combine
Pour the custard evenly over the croissant pieces.
Gently press down so the bread absorbs the mixture.
Sprinkle blueberries all over the top.
Drizzle with melted butter.
4. Rest (Optional but recommended)
Let the bake sit for 15–20 minutes so croissants soak up the custard.
This makes the inside extra soft and bakery-style.
5. Bake
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 35–40 minutes until:
- The top is golden
- The center is set but still soft
- Blueberries are juicy and bubbling
6. Serve
Serve warm with:
- Powdered sugar
- Maple syrup
- Extra blueberries
- Whipped cream
Storage
Fridge:
Keeps 2–3 days. Reheat gently in the oven or microwave.
