Ingredients List
For the Cheese Crust
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional for added flavor)
For the Pizza Topping
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup cooked bacon (or sausage, crumbled)
- ¼ cup chopped green onions
- ¼ cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)
For Finishing
- Optional: extra green onions for garnish
- Optional: chili flakes or fresh herbs
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven & prepare the pan
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a pizza pan or baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it with olive oil.
2. Make the cheese crust
In a mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella, cheddar, egg, garlic powder, oregano, basil, and Parmesan cheese. Mix until the mixture forms a thick dough.
3. Form the crust
Spread the cheese dough evenly on the prepared baking sheet, forming a round pizza crust shape about ½ inch thick.
4. Bake the crust
Bake the cheese crust for 10–12 minutes, or until it’s golden brown and crispy on the edges.
5. Prepare toppings
While the crust bakes, cook the bacon (if not pre-cooked). Slice the mushrooms and chop the green onions.
6. Add toppings
Once the crust is golden and crispy, remove it from the oven. Carefully crack the 4 eggs evenly spaced on top of the crust. Add the cooked bacon, green onions, and sliced mushrooms (if using).
7. Bake with toppings
Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8–10 minutes, until the eggs are set to your preference (runny or fully cooked). The cheese should melt and the eggs should firm up.
8. Serve
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool for a minute. Slice into 4 pieces and serve warm. Garnish with extra green onions, chili flakes, or fresh herbs, if desired.
