Ingredients
- 1 cup oat flour (or blended oats)
- ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
- ⅓ cup brown sugar substitute (or light brown sugar)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips (use sugar-free or reduced-fat for fewer points)
Method
Step 1: Prep
- Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.
- Line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 2: Mix Wet Ingredients
- In a bowl, mix applesauce, egg, vanilla, and sweetener until smooth.
Step 3: Add Dry Ingredients
- Add oat flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix gently until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
Step 4: Bake
- Spread batter evenly in pan.
- Bake 18–22 minutes until set and lightly golden.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.
