Cream & Jam Puff Pastry Trees

Ingredients:

• 1 package puff pastry sheets (about 14 oz / thawed)

• ½ cup raspberry or strawberry jam

• ½ cup vanilla pastry cream or custard

• 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

• 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for dusting)

• Red sugar pearls or sprinkles (for decoration)

• Fresh raspberries (optional, for serving)

• Wooden skewer (to hold the layers together)

Brief Preparation

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cut the puff pastry into star shapes in decreasing sizes. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and puffed. Let cool slightly. Layer the stars with pastry cream and jam, stacking from largest to smallest to form a tree. Secure with a wooden skewer, dust with powdered sugar, decorate, and serve immediately.
