Ingredients

  • 4 medium carrots, washed and peeled
  • 2 large oranges, peeled
  • ½-inch fresh ginger, optional
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • ½–1 cup cold water, as needed
  • Ice cubes, optional

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel, and roughly chop the carrots.
  2. Peel the oranges and remove any seeds.
  3. Using a juicer: Run the carrots, oranges, and ginger through the juicer. Stir in the lemon juice.
  4. Using a blender: Add carrots, oranges, ginger, lemon juice, and ½ cup water. Blend until very smooth.
  5. Add additional water if needed. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve if you prefer a smoother juice.
  6. Pour into glasses and serve immediately, with ice if desired.

Optional Add-Ins

A small piece of fresh turmeric, a pinch of cinnamon, or an apple can be added for a different flavor.

Carrots provide beta-carotene, which the body converts to vitamin A and which supports normal vision. However, this juice does not treat cataracts, glaucoma, blurred vision, migraines, or memory disorders as the image implies.
