Ingredients:
For the beef filling:
– 500g ground beef
– 1 small onion, finely chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– Salt to taste
– 1 tablespoon tomato paste
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional, or soy sauce as alternative)
– 1/4 cup chopped parsley
For the rollup dough:
– 1 sheet puff pastry or pizza dough, thawed
– 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
For the garlic butter:
– 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion and garlic until softened. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in paprika, tomato paste, Worcestershire (or soy) sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until thickened. Stir in chopped parsley and remove from heat.
3. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle. Sprinkle the entire surface with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
4. Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the cheese layer. Roll the dough up tightly from the longer edge into a log. Slice into 6 even rounds.
5. Place the rollups flat-side down onto the baking sheet. Mix melted butter with garlic and brush the tops of the rollups generously.
6. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbling. Brush with more garlic butter if desired and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
7. Serve hot with a side of ketchup, ranch, or garlic mayo for dipping.
