Ingredients (for 2 servings):
- 2 cups water
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced or grated
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder (or 1-inch fresh turmeric, sliced)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1–2 teaspoons honey (optional, adjust for taste)
- Pinch of black pepper (helps turmeric absorption)
Instructions:
- Boil the water in a small pot.
- Add ginger and turmeric. Reduce heat and simmer for 5–10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and strain into cups.
- Stir in lemon juice, honey, and a pinch of black pepper.
- Drink warm, ideally in the morning on an empty stomach or before meals.
