Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling
- 1 (15.25 oz) box yellow cake mix
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup milk
- ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
- ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the cheesecake layer
In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Layer the base
Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Add cheesecake mixture
Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry layer—no need to spread perfectly.
Sprinkle the cake mix
Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the entire dish.
Add butter & milk
Drizzle melted butter and milk over the top, covering as much of the cake mix as possible. Do not stir.
Optional toppings
Sprinkle cinnamon and chopped nuts for extra flavor and crunch.
Bake
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
Cool & serve
Let it cool slightly, then serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for the ultimate treat.
