Step-by-Step Instructions

Prepare the cream layer
In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
Add vanilla extract and instant coffee granules (if using), mixing until fully incorporated.
Gently fold in the whipped cream until the mixture is smooth and fluffy. -
Prepare the ladyfingers
In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee and rum (if using).
Briefly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, making sure they are soaked but not soggy. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of your serving dish. -
Assemble the layers
Spread half of the cream mixture evenly over the soaked ladyfingers.
Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers on top of the cream layer.
Spread the remaining cream mixture evenly on top. -
Chill the tiramisu
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4โ6 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set. -
Finish and serve
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder for a classic tiramisu look.
Slice and serve chilled.
