Ingredients

8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, finely chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup (120 ml) sour cream
1/2 cup (120 ml) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup (60 g) grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup (60 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp dried rosemary
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup (30 g) chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
1/2 cup (60 g) breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the Mushrooms:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another 1 minute. Add the finely chopped mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Mix the Dip:
In a large bowl, combine the cooked mushroom mixture with the sour cream, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise, dried thyme, and rosemary. Mix until well combined. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
Transfer to Baking Dish:
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly. If using, sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly on top for a crispy topping.
Bake the Dip:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly and the top is golden brown.
Garnish and Serve:
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm with pita chips, crackers, or sliced baguette.
