These easy dessert bars disappear fast at every gathering — creamy, sweet, buttery, and made with just 4 simple ingredients!
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine cake mix and melted butter until crumbly.
- Press about ⅔ of the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Spread softened cream cheese evenly over the crust.
- Spoon cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer.
- Sprinkle remaining cake mixture over the top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool before slicing into bars.
Optional Variations
- Use blueberry or strawberry pie filling instead of cherry.
- Add chopped pecans for crunch.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
