Prep Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 1 large red apple, cored and chopped
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
- 1½ cups cold water
- Juice of ½ lemon
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon, optional
- 1 tsp honey, optional
- 4–5 ice cubes, optional
Instructions
- Wash the apple thoroughly, remove the core and seeds, and cut it into chunks. You can leave the peel on.
- Peel and roughly chop the fresh ginger.
- Add the apple, ginger, water, lemon juice, and cinnamon to a blender.
- Blend for 45–60 seconds until smooth.
- For a juice-like drink, strain through a fine-mesh sieve. For more fiber, leave it unstrained.
- Taste and add honey only if additional sweetness is needed.
- Pour into glasses and serve immediately, with ice if desired.
Optional Add-Ins
For extra flavor, add a few mint leaves or a small pinch of turmeric and black pepper.
Note: Apple and ginger can be part of a nutritious diet, but this drink hasn’t been shown to reduce cholesterol, joint inflammation, or fatigue to “zero” within three days.
