A quick 10-minute snack made with simple ingredients.
Ingredients
- 2 cups grated cheese
(mozzarella + cheddar mix works best; you can also use cottage cheese cubes) - 2 eggs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or coriander, chopped
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika or red chili flakes
- ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- ½ cup flour
(or ¼ cup flour + ¼ cup breadcrumbs for extra crispiness) - ½ tsp baking powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for shallow frying
Instructions
1. Prepare the mixture
In a mixing bowl combine:
- Cheese
- Eggs
- Onion
- Parsley
- All spices
Mix well.
2. Add dry ingredients
Add:
- Flour
- Baking powder
Mix until it forms a thick batter that holds together.
(If too wet → add a little more flour.)
3. Shape
Scoop small spoonfuls and gently flatten into fritter shapes.
4. Fry
Heat 2–3 tbsp oil in a pan.
Place the fritters and fry on medium heat until:
- Golden brown
- Crispy on both sides (about 2–3 min per side)
5. Serve
Place on a paper towel and enjoy with:
- Garlic mayo
- Sweet chili sauce
- Ketchup
- Mint yogurt dip
