Ingredients

  • 1 lb cooked salmon (fresh or canned, flaked)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2–3 tbsp oil (for frying)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare Salmon

  • Flake cooked salmon into a bowl
  • Remove any bones if using canned

2. Mix Ingredients

Add to the bowl:

  • Breadcrumbs
  • Egg
  • Onion
  • Parsley
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder

Mix until well combined


3. Shape Patties

  • Form into small round patties
  • Flatten slightly

4. Cook

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat
  • Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side
  • Flip when golden brown

5. Serve

  • Serve warm with lemon wedges or dipping sauce

Additional Notes

  • Don’t flip too early — helps keep them intact
  • If mixture is too wet, add more breadcrumbs
