You Will Need
- 8 cups mini pretzels
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ยฝ teaspoon salt
- Optional: ยฝ cup chopped nuts or chocolate drizzle
Instructions
1. Prep the Tray
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread mini pretzels evenly across the pan.
2. Make the Toffee
In a saucepan over medium heat:
- Melt 1 cup butter.
- Add 1 cup brown sugar.
- Stir continuously until the mixture begins to bubble.
- Let it gently boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
The mixture should thicken slightly and look glossy.
3. Add Flavor
Remove from heat and immediately stir in:
- Vanilla extract
- Salt
4. Coat the Pretzels
Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the pretzels.
Use a spatula to gently toss and coat as much as possible.
5. Bake
Bake at 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) for 7โ8 minutes.
The toffee will bubble โ thatโs perfect.
6. Cool & Break Apart
Let pretzels cool completely.
Once hardened, break them into clusters.
7. Serve or Store
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
