Garlic butter, golden crisp bread, and melty cheese blend make this quick comfort sandwich perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
→ Garlic Butter
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
→ Sandwich Assembly
4 slices sandwich bread
1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend
Instructions
In a small mixing bowl, blend softened butter with garlic powder and dried parsley until completely combined.
Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly onto one side of each bread slice.
Place two slices of bread buttered-side down. Evenly distribute the cheese blend over these slices. Cover each with the remaining bread, buttered-side up, to create two sandwiches.
Heat a large sauté pan over low heat. Carefully place the sandwiches into the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes until the bottoms are golden and crisp.
Use a spatula to turn the sandwiches. Continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes, until the opposite side is golden brown and cheese is melted throughout.
Remove from pan and serve immediately while hot and the cheese remains gooey.
Notes
- Maintain low heat while cooking to prevent the bread from burning before the cheese achieves a fully melted consistency.
- Allow butter to soften before mixing for smooth, even spreading.
- Pair with tomato soup for a classic comfort meal.
