- 2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt

Prepare strawberries:
Blend or mash the strawberries with 1/4 cup of the sugar until smooth (leave small chunks if you like texture). -
Mix base:
In a bowl, whisk together the remaining sugar, milk, cream, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar dissolves. -
Combine:
Stir the strawberry puree into the cream mixture. -
Chill:
Refrigerate the mixture for about 1–2 hours. -
Freeze:
- If you have an ice cream maker: churn according to the machine instructions.
- Without a machine: pour into a container and freeze, stirring every 30–45 minutes for about 3–4 hours until creamy.
