- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 4 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ยผ cup butter (optional, for extra richness)

- 2 packets digestive biscuits or graham crackers
- Any plain tea biscuits (or preferred biscuits of choice)
For the Topping
- Crushed biscuits or graham crackers
- Whipped cream, chocolate shavings, toasted nuts, or cocoa powder (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Creamy Custard Base
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and cornstarch.
Ensure the cornstarch is completely dissolved to avoid lumps. - Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly with a whisk or spatula.
Cook until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble, about 6โ8 minutes. - Once thickened, remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract and butter (if using) for richness.
Set the custard aside for 2โ3 minutes to cool slightly.
Step 2: Prepare Your Dish and Biscuits
- Choose a rectangular or square dish (about 8ร8 inches) or a glass serving dish for better visual appeal.
Line the bottom of the dish with biscuits in a single layer, breaking them into smaller pieces if needed to fill any gaps.
Step 3: Assemble the Layers
- Pour a generous layer of warm custard over the biscuits and spread evenly with a spatula.
Add another layer of biscuits on top of the custard. Repeat the layering process, alternating between custard and biscuits, until all the custard is used.
End with a smooth layer of custard on top.
Step 4: Add the Final Topping
- Sprinkle crushed biscuits over the top layer of custard for texture and visual appeal.
Optional: Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, toasted nuts, or a dusting of cocoa powder.
Additional Notes
- Make-Ahead Tip: This pudding tastes even better after chilling for a few hours or overnight.
- Texture Tip: The custard will soften the biscuits, creating a lovely, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
- Richness: Adding butter to the custard gives it extra silkiness, but itโs optional.
Storage & Meal Prep
