Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 1 (10 oz) can Rotel (diced tomatoes & green chilies), drained
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or grease a baking sheet.
  2. Mix sausage, cream cheese, and drained Rotel in a large bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne.
  4. Add dry mix to sausage mixture. Stir until fully combined, then fold in the shredded cheese.
  5. Shape into 1-inch balls and arrange on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake 20–25 minutes or until golden brown. Add topping cheese during the last 5 minutes, if using.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
