Quick, no-rise dessert or breakfast!
Ingredients
For the dough (2 ingredients):
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
For the cinnamon coating:
- 2 tablespoons Splenda (or any zero-calorie sweetener)
- 1โ1ยฝ teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Optional: a tiny bit of cooking spray or egg wash to help the coating stick
- Optional glaze:
- 2 tablespoons powdered sweetener + 1โ2 tsp water or milk
Instructions

Mix the dough:
In a bowl, combine self-rising flour and Greek yogurt.
Stir until it comes together, then knead lightly until smooth (about 1 minute).
If sticky, add a pinch of flour. -
Roll it out:
On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle about ยผ inch thick. -
Add the cinnamon mixture:
In a small bowl, mix Splenda and cinnamon.
Lightly spray the dough with cooking spray or brush with a bit of egg wash.
Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture evenly across the dough. -
Cut & twist:
Slice the dough into strips about 1 inch wide.
Twist each strip several times and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. -
Bake:
Bake at 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) for 12โ15 minutes, or until puffed and golden. -
Optional glaze:
Drizzle the powdered sweetener glaze over the warm twists.
Notes
- Each twist comes out to 1 point, depending on size and sweetener used.
- For extra flavor: add a dash of vanilla to the dough or glaze.
- These are best fresh but can be reheated in the air fryer for 2โ3 minutes.
